About Me

Hi, My name is Handi Tan.

I am a freelance Animator/Illustrator who is currently living in Perth, Western Australia.

I started to really have a strong interest in animation since I was 8 years old. As a kid I used to draw a lot of my favorite cartoon characters mainly Japanese manga characters on blank papers. Growing up in Indonesia I watched lots of cartoon TV shows on television regularly and I was fascinated by how the two dimensional cartoon characters can move on screen.

At the age of sixteen I moved to Perth, Western Australia. After High school I went to University to do fine arts for three years. Then it took me another 2 years to study Multimedia/animation course. My fascination in animation grew stronger everyday. I was hungry to learn how to make a good story, make a character move or just make a short animation feature film. I am still very eager to learn more about animation.

My dreams are to become an independent animator who has a full or short animation feature film played on International film festivals and make a good living income out of what I love doing.

I am easy, fun, approachable and friendly. I am specialized in Hand drawn animation and Illustrator and really passionate with what I do.
